Munich, Germany

RailEurope is an amazing and extremely cheap way to travel within Europe. A trip from Zurich, Switzerland to Munich, Germany is $144 with only 1 stop but also a very short time. Starting in Zurich the train leaves at 12:40pm, arrives in 3 hours and 26 minutes in Innsbruck at 4:06pm, leaves at 4:36pm to arrive in Munich an hour and 46 minutes later at 6:25pm. I took a taxi to the Holiday Inn Munich where I stayed in my Deluxe Double room for $259.11 for two nights. This hotel has great bicycle renting service which came in handy for me when I went to the English Garden (Englischer Garten) which is the number one tourist attraction in Munich and it was a wonderful large landscape full of hills, park area and bike paths. The next day I woke up early and visited the Deutsches Museum which includes many types of technology, transportation and science displays spread across 6 floors, this exhibit was surely one of a kind with free Wi-Fi access and a cafe. Later I made my way to Marienplatz square, it contains an astounding atmosphere full of culture through street performances, shops, restaurants and vendors. My trip in Munich was very fun and well worth it, next time I think I will take a few friends along to enjoy the experience as well.
