Zurich, Switzerland

Monaco is such a small country it is basically considered France but it is also independent. Due to its small size and location it does not have an airport but it does have a heliport or depends on the airport in Nice, France. Basically your choice is to use the bus, rail, helicopter or train. My next destination was Zurich, Switzerland. I decided on taking the SNCF evening train at 3:49pm to Ventimiglia Stazi in Italy. I arrived 24 minutes later and took a 15 minute transfer to Milano Centrale. 3 hours and 52 minutes later on the Trenitalia train at 8:50pm for $50. Once I was in Milan I took a connecting flight for $200.69 which stopped in Vienna for 8 hours and 20 minutes and I had an amazing sleep during that time. I peacefully slept while my new friends took turns watching over our luggage’s’. The flight was at 9:20pm, arrived in Vienna at 10:40 and departed at 7am to arrive at 8:15am in Zurich on Thursday morning.
Finally in Zurich I checked into the Sorell Hotel Rutli where I was staying 3 nights because there was a good sale to stay 3 nights and save 15% on my stay in my superior room. I only paid a total of $556 for 3 nights and that was in fact my biggest bargain by far! Anyways, I arrived early in the morning and then got comfortable and took a nap. A while later I decided to do some exploring to the Zurichsee and Lake Promenade to watch some boats, stroll through the park and gardens and just relax a bit for the rest of my day. The next day I started exploring later in the day because I wanted to let my vacation last therefore I started in Bahnhofstrasse, a neighbourhood area which is Zurich’s downtown where there are tons of high-end stores all throughout the walk. Half my day spent then I headed down the street to Old Town (Altstadt) to do some sightseeing of the medieval part of town including the Swiss National Museum, Museum Rietberg and the Kunsthaus Zurich for the rest of my day. The next day I travelled throughout the Zurich region to city of Uetliberg for some hiking on one of the high Swiss mountains for the day. The view is beautiful at a striking 2,875 feet above the sea level, after that adventure I was beyond tired and done for the day. Day 3 in Zurich took me to the same region as before to visit the Zurich Opera House (Zuricher Opernhaus) to watch a performance at 11am, it was a wonderful show and experience. The next morning was time to leave Zurich and make my way to Munich, Germany.

The picture of the old town is taken from a completeley different town in switzerland, Bern. Bern is the de facto capital and the most beautiful city.

And by the way, the Üetliberg is despite the name not a mountain it's merely a hill. In the picture you can see real mountains at the horizon.
