My flight left at 6:30am from Krakow and arrived in Vienna, Austria at 11:15am making it a fight time of 4 hours and 45 minutes with Air Baltic for only $125.67. I stayed at the Renaissance Wien Hotel for $318.49 for two nights which has a great location across from the underground station for any transportation needs that are not within walking distance. I had arrived at my hotel around early enough in the day so after I settled down I made my way to Schoenbrunn Palace where the only female Hapsburg ruler, Maria Theresa lived with her family. It is a wonderful half day tour for only $12 to $19 where you get to see the apartments where each person had once slept and the large coronation hall and lovely gardens. Sunday morning I visited the Tiergarten which is a zoo started by ruler Maria Theresa’s husband Stephen, it carries over 750 animals like tigers, lemurs and more for an entry cost of $19 but it was well worth the value. The rest of my day consisted of being in the Museum of Fine Arts, filled with Egyptian and different European cultural art pieces created by masters who could not be compared to any other. With a museum on each side of this Kunsthistorisches Museum it is still the best according to all tourists. I wanted to see for myself so I took a little peek into the doors of the others and the Museum of Fine Arts definitely appeared the most creative and beautiful. Those masterpieces indeed ended my wonderful trip in Vienna and back into my regular routine.
